With 35 years experience, Robert Hanss Landscape Construction and Property Management (RHLC) has developed the skill to coordinate all aspects of building a successful project—from excavating for utilities, to preserving or moving valuable trees, to putting in a child’s swing set—the attention to the smallest design details, and an unfailing work ethic, have put RHLC at the forefront of landscape construction in Massachusetts.

The RHLC crew of masons has extensive experience building terraces, walks, walls, and water features. The plant professionals share expertise in planting trees, and installing gardens—perennials and annuals, wildflower, cutting and vegetable gardens—lawns and meadows. The homeowners and landscape architects who choose RHLC understand that when a set of construction documents is submitted—whether for a traditional or contemporary design—the built project will fulfill the intent for design, craft, technology, and budget.

Designers know the quality of the finished project is based on the quality of the company chosen to do the work. RHLC understands the critical relationship between the design process—clear communication of expectations, and quality craftsmanship. Bob’s hands-on experience with design and construction, and his long-time relationships with suppliers of an inexhaustable range of materials, all serve to streamline the process for both client and designer.

The RHLC maintenance division, under the guidance of John Todisco, works closely with clients and designers to ensure the vision and health of their built landscape is realized long after construction is complete. This means caretaker-quality services that are constantly monitoring the conditions in the garden and include maintenance of perennial gardens, seasonal containers, and ornamental pruning. RHLC also provides management for comprehensive property maintenance including tree and shrub spraying and fertilizing, lawn care, and irrigation.
