Project Manager, Robert Hanss Inc.
Robert Hanss Inc., an award-winning landscape construction company based in Newton, MA that has been building high quality, enduring, residential and institutional landscapes for over thirty years is seeking a dedicated, motivated, project manager that shares our passion for creating great landscapes. We believe that the unique communication, technical and visual skills of design professionals greatly complement the work of our craftsmen in creating quality outdoor spaces and gardens. Candidates should have a considerable amount of construction experience with a high level of competence in site layout, project administration and creative problem solving. A bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture is preferred and an established network of resources is an advantage as is a strong horticultural background.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 to 5 Years of relevant experience.
Excellent communication skills needed for coordination with clients, designers, contractors, subcontractors, site foreman and crews.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills necessary.
Site layout experience required.
A strong knowledge of plant material and horticultural practices preferred.
Assist in material coordination, project budget oversight and crew supervision.
Travel required for project site supervision, client meetings, and visits to nurseries/ suppliers to assist in material selection.
The ability to work on an independent basis, and oversee multiple tasks and/or properties on a daily basis is essential.
Proficiency with Mac OS, (and/or MS Office), and AutoCAD preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Construction, or Construction Management preferred.

Landscape Construction Foreman, Robert Hanss Inc.
Robert Hanss, Inc., an award-winning landscape construction company based in Newton, MA, has been building high quality, enduring residential and institutional landscapes for more than 30 years. We are currently seeking a professional landscape construction foreman to lead a masonry and construction crew. General knowledge of all types of masonry construction required, including; stone walls, brickwork, formwork, foundations and block work, as well as all types of landscape flatwork. Experience with site work, grading, site layout, and planting needed. Ability to read construction plans and strong communications skills are required. This is a great opportunity to work with a team that is committed to building excellent projects where quality and attention to detail comes first.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 Years of relevant experience.
Ability to lead a team of up to four crew members.
Responsible for job site and crew safety.
Strong communication skills and leadership ability.
Thorough knowledge of masonry best practices.
Hydraulic license and DOT card a plus.
Bilingual, (English, Portuguese, Spanish) preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
